Today, July 25th, Continent 8 Technologies, a flagship online gaming infrastructure and hosting provider based in the Isle of Man, revealed that it has made its official debut in North Carolina, meaning it gets the chance to supply local operators with its top solutions just before the official opening of North Carolina’s regulated market for legal online sports wagering which will take place during the early 2024.

House Bill 347:

In June of this year, Governor Roy Cooper officially signed into law House Bill 347, which allows a maximum of 12 sportsbook operators to provide mobile and online wagering to players in North Carolina in addition to the three land-based tribal sportsbooks allowed by existing law.

All statics indicate that the online sports wagering market will be important, as North Carolinians are projected to bet $6.8bn by year two, generating nearly $100m for the state by year five.

First-to-market approach across North America:

The company has made a respectable first-to-market approach across North America and has already debuted in 27 US states, with more to come soon. The main reason for this is to ensure that its clients may go live from day one, as it have already had time to verify that its infrastructure is up, completely compliant and working. Furthermore, as mentioned above, operators in North Carolina will have the chance to use the full suite of Continent 8 solutions. Additionally, they may also use two dedicated sites within the state, providing strong and dependable customer service.

Nick NallyChief Revenue Officer at Continent 8 Technologies, added: “Our regulatory knowledge and experience are unrivalled, and this is key to deploying our first-to-market approach in the US. We can now offer our suite of iGaming hosting, connectivity, cloud and security solutions to these operators who can be confident they are fully compliant with the requirements set by the regulator.”
